The space of emptiness is that which precedes the world with its diversity and that which opens before the inner gaze of man.
Form in art determines the character of perception of works, and emptiness determines the fundamental possibility of their perception.
Andrei Dukhounikov is an artist from Vitebsk. Art is his true calling, passion and life. His creative path went from traditional to expressive styles. In his works he captures the ever-changing images of cityscapes, people, real and fantastic objects, pulsating and evolving in the mind. Dukhounikov seeks to dematerialize and capture the pulsation of the world, creating a visual representation of the complex interplay of the physical and intangible in constant motion. Mixing graphic materials with watercolor, ink, oil and acrylic paint allows him to create intricate surfaces on which thoughts become eternal witnesses to moments. His art serves as a battlefield and a space for the realization of priceless thoughts, preserving the energy of the moment.
Under pressure from the authorities, he leaves Belarus for Serbia in 2024.
